Dialysis full Information

There are two types of dialysis

Hemodialysis - Hemodialysis is a blood departure.

Peretonial Dialysis - Peretonial departure is the departure of water.

Process of dialysis

Hemodialysis:

In this process, contaminants are expelled from the body. In the procedure, the tube is inserted into the patient's vein. Blood is drawn out from one end of this tube which passes through the filter and the purified blood goes back to your body from the other end. This cycle requires 4-6 hours. Patients whose kidneys are working less than 10% need to undergo departure 2-3 times a week. This departure was most of the time permanent.

Peritoneal dialysis:

A hole is made in the bottom of the bembi and a catheter is inserted in it. 2 liters of water is released into the stomach through the peritoneal departure catheter. This water is of a specific type that absorbs contaminants such as urea, createnine and other contaminants from the blood vessels that line the peritoneal cavity. It takes a period of 10-15 mins for water to enter. Once the water enters, it disconnect the water bag from the catheter. The water stays inside for the next 4-6 hours. This water is taken out after 4-6 hours. When water is taken out, the peritoneal departure cathetercost of departure is re-attached to this empty bag and the water is taken out.

Hemodialysis has to be done 2-3 times a week and peritoneal departure has to be done 2-3 times a day. Peritoneal departure can be done at home with proper training.

Cost of Dialysis

The cost of kidney departure can vary from center to center. The price depends on the Patient on departure facility and machineries available at that departure center.
